Software:- Instructions and associated data, stored in electronic format, that direct the computer to accomplish a task.
System Software:- Helps the computer carry out its basic operating tasks.

Ex. Windows, Macros, DOS, UNIX, Linux
An hardware installed in or connected to a computer system.
All software installed or running from a storage device on a computer system.’
Utilities:- Utilities augment the functionality of operating systems. Utilities include device and Troubleshooting capabilities.
- Utilities provide file management capabilities such as copying, moving or renaming a file.
- Norton Utilities includes an undelete function that can recover deleted files.
- Symantec and McAfee Virus checkers add protection for all system and data files.
Application Software:- Accomplishes specific tasks for users. Enables a computer to become a multi-purpose machine.

Operation System- Operating system is installed onto hardware there are many OS is used to operate Hardware.

Control Panel:- The control panel is where system change and configurations can be made for the Windows Operating System.
Click Start > Panel”
Firewall:-
Firewalls are designed to prevent unauthorized access to a system. They can be implemented via hardware or software. A firewall is essential to security and should always be turned ‘on’.
These setting are under the ‘Exceptions’ tab.
Click Start > Control Panel > Security Centre > Windows Firewall.
Task Manager:-
- Right Click on the Menu Bar > Click Task Manager > Performance Tab
- Right Click on the Menu Bar > Click Task Manager > Networking Tab
